About Us

DuPont Goodrich Federal Credit Union has been growing lifetime relationships with its members since 1962.  Providing excellent service has been and always will be our top priority!  We are committed to helping our members reach their financial goals.  From starting a savings or checking, planning for college or retirement, financing affordable loans to buying or renovating a home. Our members’ needs are important to us and we’re here to assist them throughout their lifetime.

DuGood offers more than financial products and services.  As a community credit union, we realize there is a social responsibility to the communities we serve.  Our credit union lives up to this responsibility in a number of ways.  DuGood hosts fundraisers and special events that benefit charitable organizations and is dedicated in teachingfinancial education to the youth, high schoolchildren and low-income families.  Our goal is to help the people in our community succeed and achieve their dreams.

Everyone's invited to join!  If you live, work, or worship in Jefferson, Hardin, Jasper, or Orange Counties you're eligible to join.

Credit Union Difference

As a not-for-profit financial cooperative DuPont Goodrich Federal Credit Union is completely owned by its members.  A democratically elected board of directors runs the credit union, with every member over the age of 18 having an equal vote.  Since DuGood pays no stockholders, profits made are returned to members in the forms of higher dividend rates on deposits, lower interest rates on loans, and free or low cost services.

At DuGood we believe in the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.”  As a community credit union we realize we have a social responsibility to the communities we serve.  With membership extending to Jefferson, Hardin, Orange and Jasper Counties, DuGood is involved in many community service functions, from continuous fundraising for charities to enhancing financial literacy by providing free financial management classes.  These are just a few of the ways DuGood puts the “People Helping People” philosophy in action.

Advocacy

DuPont Goodrich Federal Credit Union has an Advocacy Committee to help educate members on legislative issues that affect the credit union movement.  The committee’s goals are to work with the Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) by lobbying in Austin and Washington D.C. to secure the growth of the credit union industry.

As a member-owner of a credit union, you can help support legislative issues that will make an impact on our future or fight to keep our philosophy as is by participating in a nationwide program called the Deduct-a-Buck Program.  This program allows your credit union to deduct one dollar from your account (a one time deduction only) to go to this worthwhile cause.  100% of this money will go to the Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) and be used to help pay legal fees and other political issues that will benefit members and preserve the credit union movement.

If you would like to help, please make a donation in any amount to TCUL’s Political Action Committee the next time you come into the credit union.
