The following three candidates are nominated for the three available Board of Director positions:

Dan Harrington

incumbent

I retired from the DuPont Beaumont plant after 33 years. I served on the Supervisory Committee for several years and was elected to the Board in 2004 and have served DuGood FCU for the last 15 years. I have been married to Shirley Harrington for 58 years and we have three children, two sons and a daughter, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. I belong to the Catholic Church in Nederland and the Nederland K.C.s.

Thomas Jordan

incumbent

I retired as a project manager after 36 years in the Petrochemical Industry and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and I’m licensed as a professional engineer in Texas. I fully embrace and support the credit union philosophy of service to our members and have volunteered to serve in various positions within credit unions. I have served on the DuGood FCU board for the last 3 years. I live in Port Neches with my wife Carol and we have three children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Sylvia Root

incumbent

My husband Ricky Root and I live in Nederland and have two grown children and four grandchildren. I graduated from Nederland High School and attended Lamar University. My husband and I owned and ran a business for 16 years for which I handled the bookkeeping and payroll. I have served in the past on boards for Nederland PTA as president and treasurer and the Nederland Education Foundation as president and secretary. I am currently the chairman of the Nederland Parks board and the secretary/treasurer for the Nederland Economic Development Corporation and also served on the DuGood FCU Supervisory Committee for the last six years. I would appreciate the opportunity to expand my service for DuGood FCU as a member of the board of directors.
