Enhance Your Checking Account
Overdraft Protection
DuGood checking accounts can be enhanced with Overdraft Protection, which allows an automatic transfer of funds from another account of your choice. This helps avoid embarrassment when you try to make a purchase but don't have enough funds in your account.
A $5 fee per transfer will apply. Overdraft Protection excludes Money Market Accounts.
*Not all overdrafts are guaranteed. After 15 consecutive days of the account being overdrawn, account restrictions will apply. Overdrafts must be paid in full within 45 days.
Courtesy Pay
We authorize and pay overdrafts for members 18 and older at our discretion for checks and other transactions made using your checking account number, automatic bill payments, ACH transactions, and other electronic funds transfers. You also have the option to opt-in in for courtesy pay for ATM transactions and debit card purchases.
*Courtesy Pay covers certain overdrafts up to approved limits. A fee of $30 per transaction will apply. Not all overdrafts are guaranteed. After 15 consecutive days of the account being overdrawn, account restrictions may apply. After 30 consecutive days of a loan delinquency, Courtesy Pay will be restricted. Overdrafts must be paid in full within 45 days.

When will the $5 be drafted from my account?
If you choose Advantage Checking, $5 will be debited from your account on the first day of every month.

In order to file a claim, call:
- Identity D Theft Protection: call 1-866-210-0361.
- Cell Phone Coverage: call 1-866-210-0361 within 60 days of damage or theft.
- Roadside Assistance, Emergency Travel Assistance, Pet Coverage: call 1-877-275-2995, and the service rep will contact available companies to assist you.
What if I decide I want to discontinue my Advantage Checking?
No problem. If you decide you would like to revert back to our Basic Checking, contact our Member Services team at (409) 899-3430 and complete our form to opt out.
