DISASTER READINESS

At DuGood, we're committed to serving our members before, during, and after a storm or other natural disaster. Although our branch offices will close if a mandatory evacuation is called—or for other reasons to keep our employees and members safe—our digital services will remain available, giving you access to your funds.  All ACH deposits, share draft postings, debit and credit transactions will process as normal.

In the event a disaster affects our credit union,  a disaster recovery site will be set up to ensure that all services continue or are restored as quickly as possible.

DuGood will utilize our website,  www.dugood.org, email, text notifications, social media, or other electronic delivery channels to keep members up to date on credit union operations.

The credit union will reopen its offices as soon as it is safe to do so.

documenting your property saves hassles

Explaining to an insurance adjuster what used to be sitting on your back porch or what’s no longer in your kitchen after the tree fell through it can be a daunting task. Be able to show proof. Take pictures or video inside and outside of your home showing any carports, awnings, storage buildings, and swimming pools before the storm. On the inside—show your appliances, furniture, electronics, clothing, and any other contents that may have to be replaced in the event your home is damaged or destroyed. Be sure to bring a camera with extra memory cards, or film to document any damage when you return home. These steps will provide valuable documentation, saving you time and any hassles when settling your claim with your insurance adjusters.
