Christmas is here – let’s party!  Bring on the work parties, the church parties, parties with friends, the dinner parties, the get-togethers with family…  Sound familiar?  What has the potential to be the most wonderful time of the year can also be the most stressful and expensive.

I have a confession to make!  I’m addicted to buying Christmas ornaments – or, at least, I was when I first moved into my house a couple of years ago.

The holidays are supposed to be a time of joy and celebration. But, too many of us find them to be a time of great financial stress too. How can you give gifts to so many loved ones while balancing the need to spend but not put yourself into a financial bind?

Does anyone else find it really ironic that Thanksgiving (the holiday that’s all about being grateful) is followed by two of the biggest and craziest shopping days of the year? Ok, maybe it’s just me.

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate family. If you live far from home, though, making the trip to see your family might be too expensive. That doesn’t mean you have to spend the whole week curled up in bed with Netflix, though. You can fight the homesick blues by throwing your own Thanksgiving, right from your dorm.
